Sodium hydroxide is an inorganic compound, commonly called by its chemical formula designation NaOH or caustic sodium. Along with potassium hydroxide, this colorless solid is a prototypical strong base. It has many industrial and niche applications, most of which exploit its corrosive nature and its reactivity toward acids.

 

Pearl NaOH are particularly desirable in dry blends, where their small size is consistent with other ingredients. They are non-dusting, easy flowing, and due to small surface area, resistant to moisture. Our caustic soda fully conform to the requirements for ANSI/NSF STANDARD 60, for use in treating drinking water for corrosion and scale control, at a maximum use level of 100mg/L.
